Visual Information System for Large-Scale Artefact Collection
As a volunteer working under confidential guidelines, I designed and developed a comprehensive visual system to manage and organise a large, complex collection of artefacts. The core goal was to transform the inventory process into an intuitive and visually efficient library structure.
The implemented system utilised strategic colour-coding and thematic logos as the primary visual identifiers, making the vast collection scannable and logically segmented. This approach significantly enhanced the accessibility and retrieval of specific items, demonstrating a proficiency in visual information architecture applied to large-scale data organisation.
Key Deliverables:
- Information Design: Development of a unique visual classification framework (colour-coding and thematic logos).
- Software Proficiency: Illustrator, Photoshop, and Affinity Designer.
- System Structure: Creation of a system to organise and visually present a large artefact collection.
- Focus: Improving data accessibility, visual clarity, and organisational efficiency under confidential volunteer guidelines.
